and
Ratchet & screwdriver for $99 here. [homedepot.com]
Around the house and car = covered.
I had a cage in an explorer that a 1/2" head bolt was stuck on and my old 3/8" DeWalt wouldn't remove so went and got the stubby but nope had to go back again for the dcf894.
Bought the dewalt dcf923 to compare but haven't used yet

2) Did you run it on a 6.0 battery on your 1/2 stubby? If you are using a 2.0 battery, you are not maximizing the torque from the stubby.
The 3/8" deal is a new one (at least for me) with the 3 & 6Ah batteries instead of the 2 & 4Ah ones, so that's a bit of a curve. I'd normally have gone for the 3 tool kit but it comes with the 2 & 4Ah ones. I suppose that the 1 tool kit makes more sense, especially for me as I can use a new impact driver but I don't really NEED a hammer drill, and can always pick up the driver for $90 or so when it's on sale. But the 3 tool kit is quite the deal nonetheless, even with lesser batteries.
In real-world use, how much more powerful are the 3 & 6 over the 2 & 4 for tougher fasteners? Alternately, how much heavier are they?
Decisions, decisions...

Btw the Lowes site is crapping out on me. Anyone else having issues with it? I'll be at a store today but it would have been nice to be able to preview today's sales first.

For the 1/2" headed bolt no extension same socket came loose in 2 seconds dcf894 and I let the stubby hammer 10seconds+
2) yes I keep a 6ah on it

And what's the best deal folks have seen on an M12 drill or hammer drill & 1/4" impact driver combo, with or without batteries, charger and case? I THINK I saw a relatively recent expired one going for around $100-$120 but am not sure. I'd like to get the 3 tool combo kit at $279 but the better batteries that come with the 1 tool impact wrench kit at $189 make it the more tempting offer. I guess I should also look into sales on 3 & 6Ah batteries.
...Ok, I found it, hammer drill + subcompact impact driver + 2 & 4Ah batteries + charger + case for $98:
https://slickdeals.net/f/15353431-milwaukee-m12-fuel-combo-kit-fuel-impact-hammerdrill-charger-2-0-and-4-0-with-bag-97-69?v=1&src=Site
It's expired now but this was just a month ago so it'll probably be back by spring if not sooner. So, $189 + $98 = $287 for all this:
M12 Fuel Hammer Drill
M12 Fuel Impact Driver
M12 Fuel Stubby Impact Wrench
M12 Fuel 2Ah Battery
M12 Fuel 3Ah Battery
M12 Fuel 4Ah Battery
M12 Fuel 6Ah Battery
2x M12 Fuel Chargers
2x Contractor Bags
vs. $279 for this:
M12 Fuel Hammer Drill
M12 Fuel Impact Driver
M12 Fuel Stubby Impact Wrench
M12 Fuel 2Ah Battery
M12 Fuel 4Ah Battery
M12 Fuel Charger
Contractor Bag
I.e. if you're willing to wait and take a chance on that other deal coming up again, you get additional 2 & 4Ah batteries and another charger and case for just $8 more.
No brainer or am I missing something or getting something wrong here? Of course if you need all this tools right away, then you get the 3 tool combo and forget about the rest. And is there a reasonable resale value for unneeded and unused chargers and bags?
