The pill to swallow is the deal at costco (also with thermometer) is a better pick. The Costco one is more cubic and the air flows around the food better for tasty browning. This one is elongated, the selling point is you can put a slightly bigger slab of ribs in it or cook 6 burgers at same time. Neither fit a full slab of ribs, and the browning of the costco version is more important.
This one is worth the money, but why stop there. The costco one is just as cheap and better.
Also, look at youtube videos of both models. The people really love these things. In the videos most who are estatic are useing the more cubic version (coscto version). The videos also show great ideas of what to make in these things, and you get to see how they come out too. There's one video that compares this model to the costco model. She liked the costco one. You can see in the video it browns better than this one.
Good luck

Maybe they should take a page out of the iPhone book and do their own trade up program!
Word to those buying or interested - 'the next model' is always around the corner with this Grill because it's so popular and the features, personally, are enticing but just hard to justify another purchase.

I hated the way it cooked and how fricken loud it was. I returned mine last year.
If you're cooking with messy stuff and can't deal with the cleanup, best to use something else for those foods and/or cook outside.

Nothing Bella makes is premium at all. Their products are cheap priced, and basic, though some of them have good value for their price point.
I have one top notch compliment for Bella. They have a panini grill that often drops to $15 (nothing!). It's the greatest electric panini grill. I liked it so much I tried a few other panini grills (one of them sells for $200). The others were harder to clean, more confusing to use, heavy, hard to move to and from counter and the $200 one was over-engineered and smashed the bread too much. And didn't make good panini. Lesson learned. Can't always throw money at a problem and get good results.
It's this one if you are curious. Best Bella product I know of:

Really hard to gauge these YouTube reviews. Most seem to get the product for free.

Here. It's easier to just find the link. I believe this review, and also some of the others I've seen. Took the video straight to the point you can see the difference between ninjas.
