Are they worth the money? Also what's the best age to start using these?

I know it's on the product page, but just a heads up in case anyone reads this and not that, you have to buy the base and adapter kit as well, not just the game. So don't forget to add that….if you decide you still want it.

Looks like age 4/5 for some of them, slightly older for others. Age 3 is okay if lots of help is provided. There is "junior mode" on some that lower the challenge. Some reviewers say their 8/9 year olds enjoy it while others say it's better for younger ages.

Yes. Problem is you would need to bases and 2 reflector things at the top to use simultaneously.

You can customize each game and create users for each. I have kids aged 3,5, and 7. They can practically do them all on their own and you can select various setting to allow for harder stuff depending on the kids age or skill level. 3 year old definitely needs assistance with the games. 5-7 can do pretty much all the 5-7 stuff on their own minimal assistance. I have not used any of the newer magic math etc, but i would assume the same.

Games can be hit or miss depending on the child. Overall had a good experience and the tech works as it should. Got the pizza one. thanks op!

The core system works well in teaching basic math and words. Appreciated it during the early pandemic.

I just bought the two Wizard games, thanks!

I already have all the starter kit games, plus coding, detective agency, and the pizza co. My almost 6 yr old daughter loves them all, probably loves the detective and pizza co the most now. I will be helping my 3 yr old soon with his first experience. Like any educational game (or even just plain fun games), parental supervision helps ensure the best experience. I found that helping them understand a new game makes a big difference so they can enjoy it and become independent with it. Or I'll even take it away if it seems they're not into it (yet).

If I have the little genius starter kit, would the coding family bundle work or would I also need to get the coding starter kit?

Thanks OP! My kids love osmo, and you just helped me find a Christmas gift for them.

For those looking at the Math Wizard, consider checking the whole list. I ended up getting the Enchanted World Games (even though its a little more expensive) as it seems to cover more "activities" (look at the comparison table close to bottom of product description).

Not really, I bought a bunch of these last year. Kids played with it a few times but get tired very easily. Way too expensive for what it does. I have a 3, 7 and 11 year old. All of them used it for a few minutes and moved on. Mostly the artsy stuff. Numbers , letter and programming weren't even used.

I'll be honest, even on sale are overpriced. I got a bunch of them last year in OfferUp in near / brand new condition for a dime on the dollar. Worth looking in your area.

Cheers
