Are the batteries a separate kit so it can be hacked? I'm guessing not.

I caught that this and the high speed fuel ratchet were both in the deal of the day on Home Depot today. I'm seriously considering jumping on this instead of the stubby, which I've held off on. The weaker breaking power shouldn't really matter to me (I'm not an everyday mechanic and I have one of the large, high power 1/2" fuel impact driver) vs the greatly improved form factor (in my opinion). I love the low clearance of the top of the head and depth and the long handle should make it very comfortable to work with and give some really nice reach when needed. This is a relatively new release and I don't think it's been on sale yet.

220 ft lbs of torque but can I use this to loosen nuts/bolts? Or should I stick with he stubby 3/8 impact wrench of 250 ft lbs?

Edit
Damn thought this was a ratchet lol
I think I will get this and cancel stubby then?

Edit
Why this come with 2ah batt while the stubby 3/8 has 3 and 6ah?

Edit
Ordered this as well then and decide later lol

LOL. That's what I did. Ordered the stubby, then I saw this one and pulled the trigger. The stubby is now out of stock, but I think I'm cancelling mine.

I think it's because the stubby is a more popular tool and sought after. This tool is often mistaken as just a regular ratchet by some including me until I realized this was an impact wrench.

Yeah me too lol. Both has pros and cons it seems. Man hard to decide even after watching youtube and also what to do with extra batteries if I keep both lol

I recommend the Kobalt 24 volt Right Angle Impact Wrench. I have it and works better than the specifications listed on the tool. The Torque Test Channel will backup what I am saying.

I have this (got it on the last slickdeal which was like a year ago) and the stubby. I love both of them. I will say I mostly use the stubby for lug nuts and the usual bolt suspects. But this right angle is great for (like people mentioning here) tight clearances, like behind brake calipers.

With all the folks canceling their $189 stubby deal is there any chance it'll be back in stock today, however briefly? Or is HD's online inventory system not that real-time? I just found out about this deal but I still prefer the stubby. Better batteries and seems more useful for my needs.

And given the length of this tool, are there situations where ironically it can't fit?

Also why is the m12 stubby 1/2" has same torque as 3/8"?
Edit

Here's that thread:

https://slickdeals.net/f/15460171-milwaukee-m12-fuel-12v-li-ion-cordless-kit-hammer-drill-w-2-batteries-279-free-s-h?v=1&p=151658368&posted=1&comment=success#post151658368

But the $189 stubby + accessories is now OOS. As for the 3/8 vs. 1/2, I think it's the exact same base tool just with different anvil sizes. I wonder why they don't make a version with interchangeable anvils. Of course you can get the same basic functionality albeit with a slight loss of torque with an adapter. If so, I wonder which loses you more torque, a 1/2" wrench with a 1/2" to 3/8" adapter, or a 3/8" wrench with a 3/8" to 1/2" adapter?

Been eyeballing this for a month. Have bought two ratchets, both stubby impacts and a slew of batteries. This was the one that doesn't go on sale.

You can buy a $20 off $200 coupon for $3 that gets this down to $189 before tax.
