These don't seem to be microwaveable. Most of you must be wondering, why would you need to microwave this?

Well it's been proven that most cats prefer their food warm compared to cold out of a can. This is why it's suggested to heat up their food if they're sick and have trouble smelling because the smell is more enticing when heated. It's really the same thing with us. If you had a choice from the person serving you food from a can, think clam chowder or something, would you want cold clam chowder or a warmed up clam chowder?

If this post convinced anyone to heat up their cat's food, remember to mix well to avoid hot spots. Also try to avoid free feeding kibbles(by far the worst option, check up WWII and dried pet food).

Your cat is your little buddy, they are totally worth it.

Why you don't get Plastic bowls in most cases cats will get Acne from it, Yes Acne under the chin area and then we cat people have to reply to the people that buy cheap plastic bowls and explain to them thats a no no or even tell them now they need to go to a vet since they let it go to far.. So No Plastic food or water bowls, stick with Steel or ceramic bowls for a happy non acne cat !!

I had a cat that kept getting sick after eating so I decided to see if an elevated bowl would help. I was being cheap so I just put a bowl on top of a book that was about 3 inches tall. As soon as I did that he quit throwing up all the time. For this price I'll try them so I can get my books back.

straightens out their neck which allows for easier swallowing, reducing vomiting and bloat.

for larger and older pets, they also help with neck and shoulder fatigue.

also, it may reduce their desire to play with the contents.

similar thing here.. just put our normal wide shallow dishes on an old computer monitor stand we had laying around. works great.

Bricks are cheap, come in lots of sizes/colors/shapes, heavy/stable enough to not be easily moved by a small animal and can be easily attached to a bowl. Or make a custom one with a litle concrete.

I read that microwaving wet food is bad for the proteins. Is that fake news?

Definitely can be knocked around (although not knocked over). I stopped using this as my cat's water bowl, since she would knock the water everywhere. But works great for food (both wet and dry).

Yeah not true. It's the other way around really. Microwaving at worse could dry up the food(food with moisture is always better) but I always add two table spoons of water and put a lid over it to prevent moisture from escaping. Cat's have a low thirst drive so I try to fit in more water intake whenever I can.

Always remember to mix it a bit so hotspots don't remain.
