I still got all my original comic books of these from when they came out when I was a kid. I still say it's the greatest era for toys n cartons. Just happy I grew up then to witness it all!

I grew up reading these and finding them the other day was a fun surprise. Was just reading the first GI Joe volume a moment go. Went ahead and got them both through the 3rd volume. Nothing like nostalgia. For what it's worth, the artwork and inks changed right around this era for these two books and got much more saturated and bold on the page and it gives these a very 80's feel.

I still got all my original comic books of these from when they came out when I was a kid. I still say it's the greatest era for toys n cartons. Just happy I grew up then to witness it all!

If you're interested in only the original Marvel GI Joe series from the 1980 and 90s, pick up volumes 1-15. Volumes 16-20 are from the newer IDW series, still being published. That series does continue the original 80s story continuity and are written by the same writer, legendary GI Joe writer Larry Hama.

Right with you. And sadly, I don't think Hasbro can bring this great franchise back for kids nowadays. Still cherish all my stuff though and hoping my kid takes an interest when he gets older.

I'd love to be able to unload my transformer and gijoe comics. Heck all of my comics would be nice to get rid of and not feel like I've been violated.

If they're in near mint condition, GI Joe and Transformers comics from the Marvel runs, especially the much later issues when the print runs were very low, are selling for really good money right now.
