My only thought is the better 2k version goes on sale for only $5 more (74.99) and it's IP67 versus IP65. If you're not in a hurry, I'd consider waiting for another sale on the C24. I just bought 1 this weekend.

That's pretty stupid indeed
There's also Eufy solar panels for those who don't want to bother with recharging the batteries.

That just means it has dedicated onboard storage (8gb). That's all the homebase is good for when paired with cameras, and the homebase 2 is still limited to 16gb total for all devices paired to it.

Yea, it's limited to 16gb but I'm pretty sure the compress the footage so you get a lot more out of it (that's how they get 60 days out of 8gb for this camera), regardless my point is not about storage space. It's the fact that someone can just take out the camera and walk away, and you lose the footage and the camera. With homebase at least you have proof of it being stolen within a safer location.

If you check yt reviews comparing the eufycam 2 Pro 2k with the SoloCam L20/L40 the 2k cameras have higher levels of compression and lower image quality. The eufycam 2 Pro 2k cameras do have anti-theft alarms, larger battery capacity and connectivity with homebase.
Very true, I don't know why eufy went backwards on some specs but improved on others for their 2021 models. The SoloCams serve as a less expensive option for out-of-reach mounting areas like on high roof eaves or trees.
Did you buy the sleeve? Mine has lasted quite awhile with the sleeve outdoors

Does the 2k version work with homebase?
That model doesn't (the SoloCam E40). Any of the models named SoloCam were only designed with onboard memory storage. The 2020 model 2K Pro wireless indoor/outdoor camera does connect with homebase though, and it goes onsale for $99 through Best Buy but unfortunately the most recent sale was this past weekend so you can try to watch it for price change.

Also there's a 1080p, 365 day battery model (2019 or early 2020 I think) that connects with homebase, it's called eufycam 2 which is $99 right now at amazon
