The lithium technology is now becoming easily accessible to general population. 3000 charge cycle expectancy is difficult believe, offering 10 times longer lasting usability than lead acid or AGM types, or up to 5-6 times more than first generation lithium ion batteries.

This equates to minimum 10+ years life expectancy, yet priced at par with high quality commercial lead-acid batteries.

This is fabulous and unrealistic deal, but I don't believe seller's claim. If they truly believe their hardware to last minimum charge cycle of 3000, they'd be accompanied with stated warranty accordingly, that is minimum 10 years free of replacement guarantee, that is to say, free battery replacement rights to purchasers if storage capacity degraded to industry standard of 60-70% of original specification.

This really may be a quantum leap jump in battery technology everyone wants, or just a hype to find a sucker. I'd tend to believe it be be later case, as I can't find warranty replacement policy that support its claims.

There still is many merchants selling over-stated lithium batteries in eBay. I do not believe they wanted quick income by cheating someone, but they really do NOT understand the underlying battery technology. I hope merchants in this understand the items they sell to public.

LiFePO4 chemistry batteries have high cycle counts in the thousands. 3000 is a reasonable expectation for these batteries. Whether the manufacturer puts in quality cells is something buyer has to research.

this technology is not new, and their claims are true if they are grade A cells. With grade A lifepo4 you can expect 2000 cycles at 100% capacity, with a usable life much longer. that being said at what these are priced I doubt they are grade A, but still a good price. Also because of the discharge curve of lifepo4 the battery will last longer than a 100AH lead battery. It would be appropriate to research the chemistry before comments like these, an uneducated comment like this will turn people away from the Chemistry. This technology is safer and better that both lead and lithium ion.

No, these are for RV batteries that are "inside" the RV somewhere, not outside. Typically you have these in a cabinet and then put some solar panels on the roof somewhere to charge them. Could be used for campers too. Probably smaller than LA too.

I think it will work with the MPPT that shipped with this deal: https://slickdeals.net/f/15452806-renogy-100-watts-12-volts-monocrystalline-solar-starter-kit-with-30a-pwm-charge-controller-amazon-100-86-or-just-100w-solar-panel-65-17 The Renogy Wander 30A MPPT manuals suggest it is already calibrated for LFP batteries, however the charging limit voltage of 15.5V (14.3V boost) is a bit hot for the HQST specification of Charge Cut-off Voltage of 14.6V. It may work fine out of the box. If not, there appears to be ways to change these parameters via the RS232 port.

Pretty good deal for 100W panel, MPPT, and 1200Wh of battery between both of those purchases. A nice toy that may actually last a while.

A lot of their claims seem fishy to me ...
it's safe to discharge LFP in freezing weather. you just shouldn't charge them in freezing weather without first warming them up. discharging batteries usually warms them up enough to safely charge.

I don't know if the low temp protection on the listed battery has low temp charging protection as it isn't tested in the youtube video. However, the low temp protection is to prevent "charging" of the battery, not "discharge" of the battery. Charging below freezing can damage the cells instantly. Discharging below freezing is nowhere near as bad, and is typically unregulated. Amazon has the zooms (chins clone) 100ah for $359 and has a $20 coupon which makes it $339. They also have the 200ah for $689 with a $45 coupon making that one $644. I have the 100ah and it has been great so far. I know the zooms does not have low charging protection (although it is stated that it does) so that is one thing to keep in mind. There is another by Weize that was $350 for the 100ah and DID have low temp charging protection, but it has been out of stock since a day or two after Will Prowse did his disection video of one on YouTube. If you want to learn about LiFeP04 technology, Will Prowse's youtube channel has a plethora of info.

My electricity plan charges more between 4 PM and 9 PM. If something like this could be used to power the HVAC during that time and then recharge the rest of the time then that would be fantastic.
