As usual with Best Buy, the really good deals are the open box options. Looks like $250 for excellent condition and $223 for fair, which is what the SE has been selling for new during BF.

I took a shot on the open box 44 Blue cellular. I used my PayPal with chase card and had the $25 off $250. The Nike store for PayPal return is done in a form of a store gift card. Which kinda put me off

The terms of the chase 10% offer says "Payment must be made directly with the merchant." .... usually credit card offers exclude third party payment systems, no? I avoided paypal for this reason specifically. Please report back if you actually see the chase credit show up.

That is a different promo. I did use that already on my switch lol. This $25 off of $250 is a PayPal offer.

Warranty depends on whether Apple knew it was sold before. It may show a warranty start date from when it was sold originally or it may not have the start date set yet. You may be able to adjust the warranty start date by calling apple but its hit or miss. Technically, the warranty started when sold the first time.

Return policy should be the same as for a brand new one but there might be a benefit to buying open box for cellular models. Best Buy treats cellular models differently. They have a shorter 14 day return policy as the holiday extension doesn't apply. I don't think it matters if its an activated sale or not activated. They also charge a $45 restocking fee for opened cellular devices. Since the open box item is already open, you can likely get around that fee in case of a return (unless they resealed the box in some noticeable way).
