Reviews on Wifi connectivity appear mixed and I'm not a big fan of connecting these little IoT devices via Wifi, but the Kasa app is decent and for $3 it's worth a try.

I'm betting it's the ever-present issue with some peoples' networks and devices that require 2.4ghz wifi.

I got one for like $9 and was happy with that price. The colors are quite nice, the app and google connectivity works fine. There is quite a delay with the connection from the app to the bulb which is a little annoying, but pretty minor given the price.

I've got a KL130 that responds just as fast as my Hue bulbs (basically immediately) but it is saturated with wifi it likes. Haven't tried this model personally yet, but placed an order immediately when I saw it for $3

It does. After setting it up add it to the Google home app. That's what I did. Not only does the basic turn on and off work, but also colors, "dusk" and "daylight" commands. I'm going to get one more. Though be prepare mental that it might disconnect and you'll have to readd it to your network.

It states "Compatible with Alexa and Google Home," so yes it'll work with "Okay Google" and "Alexa"...just not "Hey Siri" (at least not natively)
