Didn't Japan just close their borders to tourism again? Cuz this isn't such a great deal if you have to spend your entire vacation in the airport.

I miss Japan. I got the deal posted back in 2018 that required the app. I would do this deal if there wasn't any COVD19 restrictions. It's still too early to tell.

Japan hasn't been open to tourists for more than a year. If you wanted to fly in until they recently sealed their borders, you had to apply for a visa. Which means going to an embassy/consulate, more than once, providing paperwork, interview, etc.

Incredible deal, but obviously, the country is going to close again because of the Omnicron variant, so it's best to stay away from this deal unless you know for sure you're allowed to enter the country.

Can someone explain the Free Change policy? Will I receive credit if I cancel my trip due to COVID?

Nothing like international travel during a worldwide pandemic.

Just pulled the trigger and booked my 2-week trip in February to visit multiple cities in Asia, including Tokyo, Beijing, Hong Kong and Taiwan. Planning to stay for about 2-3 days in each city. Couldn't resist the great fare! $549 RT is such a HOT DEAL!!

Thanks serra, you always post really useful and amazing international travel deals here!

I imagine even if you're a business traveler you'd only be authorized to enter to one or two of those countries. Enjoy your quarantined stays?

Japan reopened their border for international business and student travel but they just reversed it this week due to the new covid variant.

Add me to the I miss Japan club, my first and only visit was around 5 years thanks to a $350 RT deal posted on SD.

I could have sworn there were two SD'ers in the row to our right, I was tempted to ask if they were but that would have broken cardinal rule #1. I actually took their pic, not sure why though LOL.
