They are faster and more future proof (wifi 6) and have an extra channel for back haul traffic (talking to each other). They have more lan ports, plus you can use a LAN cable for back haul if you have your house wired up.

I have this set and they are awesome. Replaced a high end nighthawk router and these have been far more reliable. Not a single disconnect since I installed them.

The amazon one is refurbished and selling for the same price as brand new. No good.

It's the same price at BestBuy brand new.
https://www.bestbuy.com/site/netg...Id=6405440

Also cheaper at Gamestop Brand new.

OP is $228. Not the same and cheaper

I bought bk753 for 300. Looks like the same model, but with router + 2 satellites. Looks like great deal.

Haters gonna hate on the renewed ones eventually but I would have sprung for this vs. Paying 375 for the 3 pack and leaving one in the box because my house really didn't need it. Great deal.

Amazon's Free Returns makes it a no brainer

I just bought a Nest Wifi 3 pack at Best Buy earlier today for $249.99. Are these better?

For future proofing, yes. It has wifi 6. But Nest wifi is too good. I would say keep Nest wifi

If you don't need that much speed but want more management the AX1800 pro version is $170 at Amazon. 4 SSIDs, VLAN, QoS. Router + 1 Satellite. It's new.

Get them from Costco, so you can return when they break for no reason.

I've been wanting one of these, but would eventually like to run pFSense or OpenSense and not sure if these can be straight wireless AP's or if you have to let the router function work? I'd like to set up vlans and guest and IoT wifi SSID's and separate those from home network. I found out the cheap TPLink ones do not allow that functionality. Does Orbi?

Thanks, I think you just answered my question earlier about wanting to use mesh wifi system w/ OpenSense and needing separate vlans and ssid's for IoT and guest networks. I also like to use hardwired backhaul.
