If you haven't replaced you aquarium heater in the last 2 years now is the time. Buy one or 2 of these and replace them. Heater are not designed to last very long and when they fail everything can die before you get home.
It's been this price for the last month or so, but worth mentioning for our surprisingly thriving SD fish community. I bought two of the 300's for my soon to be built 75 gallon Discus tank. Love having two on opposing ends of the tank and having a backup when one inevitably goes out. Especially when you've got fish that need 85 degree water.
Eheim is a quality brand, so bought this same 300W heater two years ago from a different site when I saw it was on sale for a similar price of $27.
My saltwater aquarium is only 75 gallons, so the 300W was a bit overkill, but I thought no harm in being oversized, since it will shut off at the right temperature. However, I didn't take into account how long it is - it was too tall to be hidden in my sump in my tank stand. I didn't want it visible in the main display tank, so I ended up hiding it in the overflow, where it just barely fit. So bigger is not always better with these heaters.

Hmmm I hadn't considered the height. Is that going to be a problem for my 75 gallon freshwater?

Warning!! These get burning hot to the touch! You risk your fish bumping into it! I had fish mysteriously die and I couldn't figure out why until one day while cleaning I touched it and ow! I replaced all the Eheim Jagers after that. Do not buy!

Like every heater ever? Fish wouldn't die if they brush against it. Like you wouldn't die if you brush against a hot stove

I'm not sure if it's YMMV.
