Walmart currently has the 25th Anniversary Pikachu figure box in stock w/free shipping for $50.48 via this link [walmart.com]. If you get the "Please try again in a moment" high demand error message on Walmart's site, just keep clicking add to cart (or buy now) and it will eventually add.

Note that this is basically retail price ($49.99) but very hard to find these in stock for shipping. A thread posted last week for Best Buy in-store pickup only at $49.99 received a score of +47 so a good amount of interest in this set. This is only $0.47 more and is available for free shipping at the moment.

If you only want the cards and don't care about the promo items, the other active front page deal for the 25th Anniversary tin at Walmart for $17.97 [walmart.com] is cheaper on a per card basis, but most who want this set are looking for the promo items.

By the numbers this box has 11 booster packs, basically $44.00 in value. Your essentially paying less than $10 for the figure (which any Pokemon fan would love) and the promo cards, while not ultra-rare are still unique to this box. I don't think I would suggest collecting the unopened box (even thought its value would ultimately rise), but I do think the contents are pretty collectible. And it is clearly a pretty nice X-mas present for a Pokemon fan.

a "kid" would most certainly break the figure though - let's say it is mostly for older kids who look, but don't play so much.

The figure is very fragile and not recommended for kids. It's decorative only.

They are 4 card boosters, but the card value is pretty high in comparison and all the cards are beautiful.

Make sure you buy from Walmart and Amazon directly. You ate taking a chance by buying from a secondary retailer in the Marketplace. I have made purchases on Marketplace and both times, you can tell it has been opened and possibly replaced with cheaper valued cards. Also, there are alot of fakes as well. Good luck with finding charizard.

No. Many have come broken and who knows what Pokemon Company is replacing them with.

They are also making a TON of celebrations. Which should alleviate the insane scalping we saw earlier this year with Pokemon.
