To be completely fair this process isn't difficult nor time consuming. It's actually just a few more clicks and presses than you've described.

That process is more involved than buying on Amazon and downloading via wireless, of course. But that's the price you pay working outside of Amazon's ecosystem.

I have the last gen HD8 and the speaker volume is so low when maxxed out. I wonder if they improved it on the new HD8.

My HD10 speakers (last gen as well) sounds great.

I hope amazon can make a Fire HD12. The HD10 is skinny so it seem much smaller than a 10" iPad screen.

Its just a different screen ratio. It all depends on what you want to use your tablet for. If its primarily for streaming movies, then the Fire is the way to go. On an ipad, you will see annoying black bars while watching movies..

Im still torn. I do want a tablet for streaming, but for other things as well.
