Lenovo turns over models like nobody else. It probably helps that they might want to pounce on some of the (deservedly) solid good press they've gotten on this model. I'm not going to toss my Samsung Galaxy Chromebook (1st generation) in the garbage over this model, but at $300 this is an amazing combination of an OLED screen + decent CPU (the Snapdragon performance has historically been a cut above the bottom-end of ARM Chromebooks, somewhere solidly just above the Atom models but still below i-series based models).

If you don't want OLED or the tablet form factor you could spend less, but this absolutely murders a lot of other convertibles and Chromebook tablets at nearby price points (the HP X2 being the primary victim here).

Good luck!
Jon

Must... exercise... discipline... I'm gonna just hope that Best Buy follows suit and discounts their 8G/128GB version in similar fashion at 20-30% off.

BTW, Best Buy today has the original 4G/128GB Duet back down to $199 for the day.

I wish it had 8gb RAM, I'm not sure 4 is enough. This seems to be the only advantage of the HP X2.

The model sold at Best Buy has 8 GB of RAM. Sadly, it has not gone on sale at all yet.

They also should stop using eMMC storage. They kill Chromebooks.

Seriously. eMMC needs to die. It's even worse when paired with Windows.

Bought one at $420 last week. Cyber monday had them at $365 so I called and price matched. Now they are at $306, so I had to price match again. Thanks to slickdeals for keeping me informed, I saved $114 on price matches.

I ordered earlier today, what's your opinion on it - or are you still waiting for it to ship?

The latest gens are quite fast. Budget machines, such as this, often use it.

I do wish they would tell you which gen of eMMC was used.

4 GB LPDDR4X 2133MHz Why so slow? Why not 4267?

I am not impressed by this Duet 5. All are eMMC Perhaps all have this slow DDR as well.

The battery is said to last up to 15 hours which is impressive. Perhaps why eMMC memory and slower memory is used.

However the 8GB ones should do well. Tablet form is limited and it does as well as alternatives not nearly as well as I3 laptops of course.

It's a Christmas gift for my kid, so it's still sealed in the box. I have played with the 10" Duet and really liked it, so I'm hoping this is just as nice, but with the bigger screen and keyboard.

Also have small Duet. Screen is supposed to be pretty good on this, haven't read a bad review.
