The problem is post campaign content and loot. It does get repetitive and the quality of the loot isn't there to justify the grind although I still play it just because I enjoy the gameplay.
At this price totally worth it just to play through the campaign and the 3 or 4 free story expansions (which includes the Spiderman DLC that just came out today for PS only).
What you get out of it post campaign really depends on if the gameplay hooks you or not. Pretty similar to Destiny, although that has much better loot/multiplayer.
