Its not used it is factory refurbised and has 3 years warranty which is even better than buying it brand new.

This one seems to come directly from Bose AND it includes a 2 year warranty by Allstate so a pretty good deal. The refurb QC35 I bought last year from Bose came in pretty much brand new in a generic white box

I had one experience redeeming the AllState warranty for a pair of WF XM3 I bought on Ebay that came with the same warranty as this pair and it was flawless. I bought the pair of XM3 for $80 and Allstate gave me back $60 because the battery died and they said I could keep it/not send it to them.

found out I could replace the batteries and tried it and it's working great again so I basically got the pair for $20 + replacement batteries + tax I paid on it.

It must have been used and returned but repaired by manufacturer otherwise why refurbished?

yes, in fact, I like the sound profile of the 700 slightly more bUT ended up with these as the primary because they are just so much more comfortable! You can wear them for a day and not get tired of them, and this is coming from someone who has a large head and trouble with many headphones lol
