A lot of ppl says otherwise. I have neither, but here's this:

The JBL PartyBox 100 is a better speaker than the JBL PartyBox 300. The PartyBox 100 is better-built and more portable thanks to its smaller size. It also has a more balanced sound profile and a better soundstage performance. However, the PartyBox 300 has less compression at max volume, and its battery life is longer. -rtings

Bought one last year and it was awesome by the pool this past summer. Walmart's with Dallas zip codes seem to have in stock at this price. Buying another one to check out the bluetooth stereo.

The only downside to this speaker, is it isn't water proof. Would love to have it mounted outside, or have the ability to throw it in the pool and have it float.
