Would this be good for lower volume/indoor use?
I purchased these along with the motion plus (2 of each/stereo) and did a listen comparison for about a week. I prefer the motion plus for sound clarity. If you like bass the motion boom is the better choice. I tend to play moderate levels but get more hifi with the plus.

Do these work if you just plug them in? I want a bluetooth speaker that works just plugged in nonstop without worrying about the battery dying.

I was hoping this is a little bit bigger. I'm looking for something in between this size and my altec Lansing XP 850 which is very large.

I know it floats, but can you leave it just playing in the water?

Yes it does. (I've never heard of a speaker that doesn't)

Different models. The one from Walmart for Black Friday had LED lights, and only 16hr battery. This has titanium drivers and almost 24 hour and can be paired with another in stereo.

Wish either also had a 3.5mm jack too!

It's too bad I got the Walmart one last week I would have nabbed this at the price but I ditched the box already because I was going to use it for a Christmas party Friday night lol. I can't justify buying another even for the improvement unless I sold or gave away the current.

I'd rather keep the $50 Select Pro. The differences seem minimal, other than battery life, which seems to last forever with the Select Pro.
Only thing that's making me think is that I've experienced connectivity issues with it.
Mine is pretty snappy. It just works all the time. 42$ for pro vs 70+ for other models doesn't seem justified. Sticking with Walmart deal and quite happy with its sound.

Got the one from Wally World for 40 and decided to stick with that, titanium drivers would be nicer but not for almost 2x the cost

Had this for a few weeks, I returned it because I wanted more sound, bigger unit etc (ended up buying the jbl boombox). Anyways this unit sounded incredibly nice for the size/price..Also have the D8 mini(got for $20) and this blows it out of the water...

… but the real question is:

how does it stack up against the Pansonic RX 5600LS?? Doesn't look like this new-fangled one can match the velvety soft-touch Dolby operation cassette deck with manual recording level control options like the Panasonic has. And there isn't even ANY chrome plastic. Hard pass!

Titanium for woofers? That is something we should really concern.

I have the one from Walmart and completely fine with it. There's certainly advantages of this one if better materials, battery life, and ability to connect in stereo are important but if you're willing to pay the extra cost (as well as buying a 2nd speaker to connect in stereo) then go for it.

Highly recommend this system if you're looking for something by the pool, in the home, or (the reason I bought it) outdoor adventures. I have used my speaker camping, kayaking, beach sitting, and backyard bbq's. At MAX volume it lasts me about 6 hours. It also charges pretty quickly through USB-C. For my uses, and the cost, there are zero downsides to this unit. Competes head to head with other Sony and JBL units that are up to twice the price.
