Blow leaves off a sidewalk/driveway? Yes.
Blow leaves out the yard? No way.

This has it's uses but it's not a replacement for a leaf blower (nor was it meant to be). I bought one earlier this year from HD and it's served it's purpose well. A few things I've used it for:
-Blowing off the riding mower before putting it away
-Get grass clippings/leaves out the landscaping rock after mowing.
-Blow sawdust off the shop floor/work piece after cutting
-Clean out the truck bed after hauling straw, mulch, etc. I have a bedliner so all that crap gets stuck in the grooves. Works better than a broom.
-Inflates/deflates an air mattress like a hot damn. Like flat-to-full queen size in 20s or less.
-Blows crap out the vent holes under your car hood, in the trunk lid, etc.
-Gets an outdoor fire pit going in no time flat. Just feather the throttle and it's like a fireplace bellows on steroids. Just don't do this... [youtube.com]

Basically, I use it for stuff I don't want to drag out the air hose or leaf blower for. It's plenty powerful for the weight, and I don't end up smelling like exhaust or having my hand go numb like using the two-stroke leaf blower.

I do wish Ridgid would make an actual landscape blower because I think it would do pretty much all the things this blower does and more, but Ridgid has a pretty terrible/non-existent lawn tool selection right now.

Considering the blower and the oscillating tool. There's been a few occassions where a osc. tool would've made life easier but I can't justify paying near full price since i'll likely use it 1-2x/yr, maybe less. At a price cheaper than harborfright, it might be a no-brainer.

These small shop blowers are great. I have the similar Kobalt one, and I find that it gets used way more than I expected. It is perfect for blowing out the garage (we always get small amounts of leaves and dirt that blows in over time), and does a great job with sawdust and such. I also reach for it when I need to blow off the driveway. Mine has attachments so I can take it on campouts to inflate sleeping pads, and also to blow off dirt/condensation on the tent if I don't have time to let it dry before packing up.

I use the bigger ones for leaves and grass trimming, but I definitely like having both available for different tasks.

Agree. It's great for job site cleanup and for small amounts of debri and leaves in backyard . For lots of leaves I would go with full sized blower

Is this blower efficient enough to blow water off a washed car? I know it's not filtered and can blow particles on the car but theoretically, would it be strong enough for that?

Ridgid makes a larger blower than this, and it will not dry a car.

Well said. I attempted to clear an alleyway of dry leaves that's about 75' x 20' and I depleted my 4ah battery in the process. It's compact and great for light duty stuff. I wish ridgid made an actual blower, something with 500+cfm.

Have you used the ryobi nailer? I got one for $65 and it works with a ridgid battery adapter... Not sure it's worth spending another $110 to get the lsa on a ridgid tool...
