According to these Vitamix affiliate bloggers [lifeisnoyoke.com]there might be a $99 container sale next week on the 7th. Not sure how credible this information is but, so far, all the other Vitamix sales posted have been spot on. Erring on the side of caution I'll probably order the dry grains container on Amazon now and return if the $99 sale does happen.

Dunno if targeted or not but I got a random $25 coupon on the Steel container on Monday. Came out to $135.

Also the A3300 in black is $380 for anyone that missed out on the V1200 Costco deal. Not as good of a deal if you don't care about aesthetics since the V1200 comes with extra stuff but I went with it for the slightly better build quality and my amazon discounts making it close to the same deal.

I believe Monday's coupon was because Target had a 15% off on small appliances so they were matching Target's price. I got it as well.

Considering grabbing the 8oz bowls. They go for that price often, but could use them. I already have a blade base. Those are pricey.

How much did you end up spending for the base? I want it to start making baby food.

I got it with my machine in a bundle. It came with 2 20 oz cups but no bowls.

Seems like the ~$100 bundle with a bowl and cup might be cheapest option right now. Add on 2 more bowls for around $125.

Hm yeah I saw that bundle. Haha I found a deal for an E310 for about $220 so seems crazy that bundle will cost half of that!

Thanks for the heads up. I was able to pricematch at Best Buy for local pick up or free shipping as it came up to the same price. If there's a sale next week with a better deal I can return or cancel shipment with bestbuy.

We bought some to make baby food. Perfect for that purpose. We have others to make salsa and other dips.

well its a proprietary jar, not sure if there's a compatible 3rd party.

To be fair though these are built extremely well, I've never seen on crack despite heavy use and abuse in a professional kitchen.

I just ordered the v1200 and was wondering if there are any 3rd party attachments that work with self-detect blenders, or should we jump on "deals" like these?

It really seems like it's just a magnet or something in the base that allows it to detect alignment. I don't know of any third party compatible accessories though. It's a shame because these are way overpriced.

It's cause the blades are in the container. Blendtec does the same and the prices are similar.
