I disagree, but I supposed it depends on how you listen to music. I prefer the curated channels on SiriusXM over playlists or just albums/songs to pick through.

Plus, they have Shade45.
I had SiriusXM for a full year and its vastly inferior to Spotify because of several reasons. 1) DJs talk WAYYY too much. I'm not paying money to listen to people talk for 10 minutes, only to play the same exact songs they played the day before. 2) The play the same music over and over again. 3) The audio is not as good as Spotify's or other streaming services. Spotify you can create your own custom playlists. Phenomenal.

I wish they would just do a lifetime 6 dollar plan. I am tired of having to call every 6 or 12 months to cancel and renew my plan.

Highly doubt this includes Howard
LoL 😆 🤣 😂
Howard is not a selling point. Have you listened to him this decade? That show is terrible. It's stale unfunny and is exactly the show that young Howard made fun of. He's a greedy scumbag user. He has zero loyalty to his team. Look up the story of how he treated Scott the engineer when his wife had terminal cancer. Howard is a real POS.

every year (used to be 6mos) I pay $60 for everything, including streaming, for two cars ($60/ea)- including all taxes and fees (They agree to waive them each time after putting up a mild fight).

I keep track of how long the call takes me each time as a game. My wife thinks I'm crazy. Took me 19min last time.

Nothing like listening to the terms twice and the fancy math for car 1 that gets corrected with car 2.

I'll miss our little dance some day.
Same. But now I do it over chat. Much easier than on the phone.

It's a good deal but the way it's listed it looks like it was five years for $99... I would've definitely bought it at that price...3 years, meh, maybe or maybe not

I think they're hurting and need to prop up customer numbers or else. If Howard ever departs from show they will go down. I only use it for him

The odds of this company existing in 5 years is slim

Mine renews soon and contacted them to play the renewal game.

I've been on the $60 a year music/entertainment which was $72 with fees.

Best they would give me was $72 a year plus fees which made it almost $88.

Ended up canceling, I have amazon music and will try just that for a while.

Lately I've found Sirius to be alot of crap and I can't stand Howard stern anymore.

Worse case I'll renew in a few weeks for the same rate they offered today

I must not listen to the same channels you do. Everyone has different tastes.

XM has its use cases where it is good. I was driving in remote West Texas with no phone signal, no music apps, etc. XM Radio worked 100%.
Heh. Most of the National Parks have no cell phone coverage, and even if they do your data bandwidth will be close to nil. My and a friend's families visited Yellowstone together - rented a 15 passenger van and loaded everyone and our stuff. His 5 year old had never been without Internet his entire life, and was screaming and crying that he wanted YouTube. He eventually got over it, but I swear it was like watching a junkie go through withdrawal.

XM radio worked just fine, when nothing else did (even FM radio wasn't great). I was planning a road trip to Alaska before COVID hit, and was going to subscribe to SiriusXM for a few months for that trip.

My biggest issue with SiriusXM is the sound quality. If you listen to it by itself it sounds fine. But if you immediately listen to something else (in my case, 320kbps MP3s on an SD card in my car's infotainment system), you realize how much compression they had to add to squeeze so many channels into the satellite data stream. A lot of the sparkle and brilliance of the music you get at higher bitrates is just gone. It sounds kinda like low-fi recordings from the 1930s-1940s.

I'll have to call tomorrow and see if I can add traffic to this deal. That's the service I really want, since it ties in with my car's navigation system (shows green / yellow / red lines on the highways to indicate traffic levels, and incorporates it into travel time estimates).

Lots of b******* & moaning in this post for what I and many would and do consider a very valuable service! Have you listened to Broadcast FM Radio lately??? They play the same corny ass songs every 15min and in between that, they play 10min of even cornier commercials.
I would pay $100/year if I absolutely had to. But I, like many here, call in every 12 months and get the $60+ annual promotion.
I truly hate that I didn't get in on the "Lifetime Deal" for @ $400 several years ago.
But for these prices of $99 and $149, I will NOT pass up!
Thanks OP. 💯

Pro move.

1.) Use Best Buy gift cards or reward certs to buy Xm radio service cards. I believe you can do it only online now (e delivery).
2.) Load $60 to $80 onto xm account.
3.) Call (not chat) day before renewal is up and say "this is all I got. Money is already loaded into account." Ask for All Access package. Be firm. Don't budge.
4.) Enjoy your deeply discounted package.

Works every year. I gladly pay $60 to $80 for All Access - all in (with taxes and royalties fees).

The $60 a year is no more and this $99 for 3 years is only for old accounts
