Gamestop has the preowned white Sony PS5 DualSense controller on sale for $50. Shipping is free. May consider trading in old controller especially if you are a Pro Member. I was able to trade a PS4 controller for $27 making the DualSense $25ish after tax.
I'd avoid this as most gs employees don't check for stick drift button issues on trade in's. You will just adopt someone's defective controllers
Unfortunately this is a real problem, I've had two go drifty already and there's no sign they are improving them. So this is something where you want that factory + credit card warranty, because you are almost guaranteed to be using it.
Best solution I've seen to save a little is to go open box, those have full warranty.
this isnt a good deal... they were brand new for 54.99 before and will probably go on sale again...
and you can easily get it for like 59.99 new at newegg or something with the 10 off 50 coupons.
I bought an open box PS5 controller at Walmart and had to immediately return it because the rubber on the sticks was completely ravaged. Not sure how nobody caught that.
The other day I grabbed one at Gamestop and it looks good physically, but it has a very small amount of stick drift on the left side. They said I have 7 days to return it and I'll be doing that.
I think I've learned my lesson on buying these used controllers. I had naively assumed they would be extra bundle controllers that people were selling. But really, people are selling these because of an issue. I'll buy new from now on.
Not bad. Got one instore for $25.XX after $5 PUR coupon and Xbox One controller trade-in. Controller looks brand new and barely used at all. Tested it for drift issues and none so far. Employee said I have 7 days to exchange for another one if that happens.
Employee said they test all their game controllers trade-in for issues via their software monitor before selling it.

I wish i could say only two. I treat my controllers so well, my original ps4 one is still working fine but since last December when i got my ps5 I've had 5 controllers start drifting so bad i had to replace them and I'll be honest I'm not paying a full 70 bucks so i started buying new ones, putting the busted one in the box and returning it. Not my finest hour but damnit the hardware is just garbage in these things.

A bit risky for not being able to return it easily.
