The only reason I'm not buying this is, I already have 8 bikes. 4 of them are ebikes.

So my initial guess was confirmed. Thank you. I've been. looking for an electric scooter to cut down time from home to train, but also considered just a regular bike but feel that would be too much of a burden on a train and can't bring it on during rush hour.

I eat standing, walking or laying in bed on most days. Maybe I should take your advice and sit once in a while. Maybe when I retire, if I ever choose to.

My wife deals with asthma and the e-bike has allowed us to go out and actually see some landscape. We have helmets with mics and our daughter in tow behind me now. We can easily cover 20-40 miles in a couple of hours, while getting fresh air, clearing our minds, allowing our daughter to stop and play when we see a field etc. We live 24 miles outside a capital city so we have areas to do this with. If we didn't have e-bikes it would never happen.
Conversely I have a second ebike more trail oriented at our place up north. You can get a serious workout by turning the assist down yet still continue to push to the point of exhaustion and then increase assistance for the way home.
In the end it allows you to really change the distance you can go in the same amount of time and effort, which by result changes the landscape and excitement of the ride. It allows me and the family to see and explore areas we wouldn't get to on our bikes right from our back door.
Everyone I have put on my bikes has been blown away.
Go try one before you presume. I wouldn't encourage a no name because it's likely got minimal support and you may need to know how to wrench yourself, but even say a rad or NCM or something would be a great starting point.
I'd still wonder about the overall quality of this, and would wonder if the sizing is right for any particular potential rider. Personally, I'd probably rather get a used ebike on Facebook marketplace that originally was more expensive, than gamble on this. But if you have a limited budget and want something brand new, this may be the way to go.
