The 25% coupon did not work on the new model a couple of days ago when I tried. So doubt it will work now.

Edit: Just double checked, didn't work. Even the T&C states excludes SE2. Although it worked on reconditioned/used ones.
The total was about $160 after tax in the VA

I think most people get them from eBay. It seems to be cheapest there. Just look for a seller who has sold a number of them... Make sure it works with the new iPhone SE 2020, and see which versions of iOS it supports. It's also very important that you disable iOS updates on your iPhone, because an iOS update can break the "rsim unlock"

I don't know if it was user error on my part, but it took me a few tries to get it right. Maybe one or two I got was defective... But even if I received a defective one or so, the price for doing this outweighs paying the monthly fee for X months for unlock.

I'm not the guy you quoted, but I would not recommend it. On the trade in page on Best Buy's site, the only options for network are the major postpaid carriers, and then "unlocked". I'm seeing $160 trade in value if you select Verizon, but I'm not sure if it could come back to bite you - if you select technically the wrong provider... like if they'd put a charge on your card later for claiming something that isn't true.

I'm not sure where they are getting their details from, but definitely try to verify at the store or something
