I got mine for $2299 after opening a new HD credit card with 0% financing for 24 months. Perhaps not a great deal, but with the inflation the way it is, perhaps as good as one will see for a while.

Thanks for the post OP. I'd say this is the perfect mower for a 1/2-1 acre. 2 would be pushing a 38" deck. This isn't a bad price if you're starting from scratch. I wish the zero turn would get near this price and I'd consider it.

Shame it's not lithium ion batteries. You're probably only getting 4 or 5 years with lead acid batteries here.

I bought this for $1500 last year on clearance from this post

Pros:
-No maintenance (gas, oil changes, air filters, etc)
-Motor is quiet
-No gasoline smell
-Can finish 1 acre yard with slopes with about 20% battery left

Cons:
-Cut quality is not so great, sometimes there's a line of grass that doesn't get cut in the middle where the blades intersect.
-Lead Acid batteries are heavy and take 10 hours to recharge
-No suspension, you will basically be bouncing over every bump and hole in your yard
-Turn radius not so great since wheels are big and wide
