-No suspension, you will basically be bouncing over every bump and hole in your yard
Wow, no suspension? Wouldn't have thought that for the price. Even my 1984 Craftsman riding mower has a rudimentary suspension system. My acre is hardly smooth so it'd probably beat itself (and me) up. Would probably still take it if I could get it on some kind of $1500 clearance deal like you got. I've already retired my gas push mower in favor of two Kobalt mowers (one 40v, one 80v) I've used the past two seasons after getting them on previous Slickdeals.

I bought this for $1500 last year on clearance from this post

Pros:
-No maintenance (gas, oil changes, air filters, etc)
-Motor is quiet
-No gasoline smell
-Can finish 1 acre yard with slopes with about 20% battery left

Cons:
-Cut quality is not so great, sometimes there's a line of grass that doesn't get cut in the middle where the blades intersect.
-Lead Acid batteries are heavy and take 10 hours to recharge
-No suspension, you will basically be bouncing over every bump and hole in your yard
-Turn radius not so great since wheels are big and wide
same here, wait until it drops to 1500. I have .6 acres with heavy slopes, some times I don't finish it. The bagger kit is pretty good
