Definitely one of the best books all the marxist millenials should be reading. Orwell's excoriating critique of the far left could help us prevent repeating 1917 disaster in Russia

All 39 kindle versions are equal. "But some Kindle versions are more equal than others"
Some are good, others are double plus good.

Insert trite and tired political commentary that I think is original yet is mentioned every time this book comes up.
Yes comments such as yours are trite, tired, and woefully unoriginal. Oh, and apparently unappreciated.

Yes this book is very reminiscent of a recent rebellion where a group of animals tried to overthrow the lawful government and install a dictator pig. Not sure they were marxists though.

FYI, pretty sure this book is still read in high school by marxists and many other ideologies.

BTW, the fact you don't know that Orwell was a democratic socialist is beyond hysterical.

Reading Bradbury is much better. I like to make him spin in his grave!

Orwell was a social democrat, not democratic socialist. Huge difference

"Every line of serious work that I have written since 1936 has been written, directly or indirectly, against totalitarianism and for democratic socialism, as I understand it."

One time someone asked me if I'd read Fahrenheit 451. I told him no, but I'd seen the movie.
