I personally have these. The drill isn't all that powerful but has always done the job for me. Battery life hasn't been an issue for me with the 1.5ah batteries but then i'm not a contractor. I haven't tried my impact yet.

I have these. The power to weight ratio is great. I rarely break out my 18 volt Milwaukee or Rigid or Dewalt or Ryobi (yes, I have a problem). I like it so much I bought a second set. I am a landlord who does lots of work. Highly recommend.

Any hex bits should work...just find the best deal on them...should probably just put a filler bit to reach $100, then look elsewhere on SD for a good deal on bits - northern tool has decent prices but not sure if any great bit deals currently.

fyi the hex bits will work with impact....drill bits will work with the drill, like to drill through wood and such. that being said there are some drill bits with a hex shank on it that the impact can use.

Note that these aren't the same tools in the kit that occasionally shows up in a "hackable" deal that comes out to just under $100 at HD, consisting of an M12 hammer drill and subcompact impact driver. I'm sure that there are fine tools too, just not those. I'm looking to get these other tools so I'll wait till the next deal comes around.

I have the Impact Driver. I like it for the price. Not as amazing as the regular M18 fuel, but it generally always gets the job done. To be honest, for most home jobs, I go to this unit versus a stronger impact.
