You should only be on keto for 3 months at a time. Google keto cycling if you want to do it longer. If you want great health start planning out a low carb diet while still doing keto so you know what to do next, and don't revert back to old eating habits. Key is don't revert back to old eating habits, so have to have a plan figured out and in place when you get off keto.

My two bits. What I said is good info for you.
Did it for 8 months last year. Did loose weight but dizziness, constipation, too restrictive. Been maintaining on CICO for about a year .I don't track carbs just my total calories. Although maybe bad or not, I eat a decent amount of sugar free sauces, syrups, sweetners substitutes for my baking protein mugcakes, pancakes etc and invested in a ninja creami so I get my ice cream fix lol . Although it's mainly made out of almond milk, Greek yogurt, whipped cream, sugar free pudding mix

Yeah, you got it. I was on keto for about 7 months and was feeling different, in a bad way, before I learned one shouldn't be on keto for more than 3 months at a time.

Doing keto for awhile is great, because I took what I learned doing keto and incorporated them in to my low carb (and low cal) every day diet. If I eat too much one week, I'll start eating some sugar free pudding, to stop the swelling calorie intake and to satisfy my sweet tooth. I eat a lot of salads and love salads, and love green things like peas, snow peas, leafy greens. Hell, I love brussel spourts. Have to roast fresh brussel spout. Frozen is horrible. Do it on high heat on a thick stainless steel pan and they are even better. Just with salt, pepper and oil is the ticket. Doing balsomic is super good too.

I see sweet good food, like apples, snow peas as dessert. They have sugar and hit sweet spot. Since I eat well, I'm not hungry for all the junk food I walk by all day long. I look at them and think of them as pills to make me feel sad and drained.

I don't identify as a trendy vegan. Just being realistic what food is. I don't eat past 7PM, or 6. That helps. It's not just about the unattractiveness of fat. If you get healthy and trim your face becomes strikingly hot, your hands, everything. Fat hides beautiful faces, and face with a little chisel instead of roundness attracts. People in my friends circle emulate me. I don't say that with a stick up my butt. they just do. People think you have a secret sauce.

I cook with cast iron pans, have an Anova Percission oven I do sous vide style approach. Probably eat too much meat (plaque buildup) but am healthy as a lark.

There's a feeling you get when your body is matabolizing food and fat. People think of that feeling as 'starving' and take it as a cue to eat. They will feel it anyway because they metabolize too. Horrible cycle. That feeling is part of a permenent cycle. They shouldn't eat if they know they have already eaten enough calories. They aren't starving.

I'm sort of a rough-E-in, but the happest years of my life was about 3 years ago when I was eating like training movie star and didn't drink alchohol, coffee nothing. With out anything giving me lows, all I had was a cycle of natural highs, and just being ok. I'm enjoying my esspresso machine, but paying for it too.

bla bla bla. nice yacking at you.

Also, I didn't know what CICO was. Just looked it up. that's exactly what I was doing after keto, also on the low carb side. Carbs sneak in to everythign so low carb ends up being carb.
Good info. Thanks for sharing. I need to get back to low carb. Felt great then as well. Cheers.

Is it better to eat canned tuna or canned sardines? In general, I don't eat much fish. Lots of chicken but it does get boring at times. I have a bunch of canned sardines bought during last year, when people were buying shelf stable canned foods a lot. Although I've only eaten several cans since
Sardines are much better for you, just dont get the ones packed in oil. They are one of the healhiest fish you can eat. Very high Omega 3s and almost no mercury.
Mackerel and Herring are also pretty good for you and may taste a bit better than sardines.
