price is reasonable for the specs.. but i dont conisider it a slickdeal due to its availability. It was available at this price 3 weeks ago as well. I would hop on it if it was $499
Way worse other has bigger screen, more battery life, faster screen, way better graphics card and cpu and can do double display this one can only do single

Bought the $500 Walmart laptop for Christmas for my daughter who is in college majoring in graphic design, but when this dropped back to $599 I gave her the option to upgrade and grab this one since it has a discrete graphics card. Returned the Walmart one.
I've already given it to her (combo Christmas/Bday gift, and I want her to have a chance to really test it out so if there are any issues she can return it). She installed photoshop on it and she said it's "great."
The big difference between the two is the Acer is more for gaming with its discrete graphics card. The Asus only has an integrated, and half the storage too. I would leaned more on the Acer.
The Asus has a bigger a screen and a stronger graphics card, with most of the other things being similar. I'd say the Asus would have been worth the extra $80.
I'd rather buy a laptop from dells outlet refurbed with a 1660 ti or 5600m
I searched the dell outlet and from what I see there is not one near 600$ most with that card are above 800$. I think it's hard to compare when you are considering a 25% difference in price.
