I bought a bigger hyper tough set in the past (for my sister) only to use it recently to assemble a basketball goal. It is absolutely not top quality! At the end of assembly there were numerous times then 3/8 ratchet stopped ratcheting. I don't know if I was pressing too hard to make sure it wouldn't slip off the bolt while tightening or if the reverse/forward switch was being toggled during work. Upon checking after a malfunction the switched seemed to be in the proper spot. Finished the job with a cheap 3/8 Stanley ratchet from the truck with hyper tough sockets. A small set like this may get you by if you are stuck on the road, but for me it would not be preferable.

Hyper Tough has better brand name recognition than Milwaukee.... Plus, it literally has "tough" in the brand name. Cannot go wrong here...

i swear by hyper tough. ok not really, but theyre good basic chinese junk, if any of that made any sense. not the best obviously but they'll get the job done in most cases for cheap as dirt.

I like your logic.

Repped... and four people downvoted an obvious sarcastic comment from me.

I've spent a decent chunk on Milwaukee products this season. Maybe overpaid for brand name, but the quality is generally solid on everything they sell.

Repped.

Never have bought a drive from Harbor Freight, but need to look into some of their 1/4, 3/8, and 1/2 drives..... I have that 39 piece (or whatever) impact socket set in 1/2 and 3/8, and I'll be damned if it's not the most convenient set I've ever purchased. I have the full lineup of hand socket 1/2", 3/8", and 1/4", as well as, deep socket 1/2" impact... and nine times out of ten, I reach for that Harbor Freight 39 piece kit.

I think it was a sarcastic comment. Milwaukee and Hyper Tough have no overlaps in customers.... unless a Milwaukee customer needs a last resort backup.

Have this set from almost 12 years ago, basic set that's fine for assembling furniture and other light tasks; adjusting a bike bolt, etc. nothing precision about it whatsoever but somehow it got everything done as a home owner and still kicking. Obviously not a set to do any heavy automotive wrenching.
