This will not work for unlocking. Using the pre-loaded Tracfone SIM intended for BYOD devices will not unlock a Tracfone-branded (or Simple-Mobile branded) phone. The service will work fine, but not the unlocking.

It doesn't work that way... Which network the MVNO is using have nothing to do with whether the phone is usable on another MVNO. This phone won't work with Mint Mobile until it is unlocked either after 12 months of service or using things like Rsim.

Btw, Simple mobile phones do work on Tracfone, Total Wireless, Net10, etc because they are owned by the same company.

There is Rsims sold on eBay for about $10 that will unlock the iPhone and keep it unlock unless you update the system.

You can also buy a Tracfone sim, a years worth for $40, and start the 1 year unlocking processing this way.

you can also use trade the phone for a iPhone 13 deal. This particular model gives you $400 in trade in value.

Works on all the TF family carriers: Net10, Simple Mobile, TF, Page Plus, Total Wireless, Walmart Family, and some say Telcel. To work on others like Visible, it has to be unlocked.
