Almost a year ago to the day, there was a FP deal on a BladeHQ exclusive version of the Benchmade Bugout (
https://slickdeals.net/e/14714459-benchmade-bugout-gray-g10-axis-lock-3-2-knife-black-150-free-s-h), and I jumped on it. It was my first pocket knife, and it led me down a deep deep rabbit hole into the world of knife collecting.
Anyway, looks like BladeHQ is running a somewhat similar promotion on their exclusive version of the 940 this year. It's in a black cerakote CPM-M4 blade and Jade/Natural G10. M4 is a high end "super steel" with excellent edge retention and toughness. It's not a stainless steel, but the cerakote (ceramic coating) protects the blade from rust. The 940 is Benchmade's most iconic model, and this is basically a custom/upgraded version of it. Benchmade is one of the two top US knife manufacturers for mid-high end production knives (along with Spyderco), and they're famous for their Axis lock.

I have been regularly carrying a Bugout 535 for a while now and it is fantastic. Deep carry, great blade profile, super light weight. S30V blade as well.

Another thing to mention is that BladeHQ recently had the jade Spyderco Smock for a similar price and those are currently selling for $280-$300. So you won't lose any money if you decide to sell later on.
