Interesting. I usually wait for 20% like Discover had not too long ago... is this the best Chase does on Chipotle cards?

The best option is to use Pay Yourself Back (50% points bonus) if you have the eligible card. You can use it on food purchases. You're getting more out of the 50% bonus than you are getting 10% bonus points value on gift cards.

100% agree with this. The 10% discount isn't worth it when compared to getting a 50% bonus on dining or travel redemption.

Could you expand on this a bit?

They have Happy Holidays with Lowe's as well. Anyone know if the Happy cards from Chase are the Visa kind like the ones from Discover?

I don't have any of the annual fee cards (CSP, CSR) so 10% is about as good as it gets in terms of redemption.

Yes but food isn't always a category that qualifies for pay yourself back, right?

I've been using it on restaurants for the past year. Since covid began, they expanded the categories quite a bit to include dining.

I have the Chase Freedom. How would I know if my card qualifies? Can you please assist on how you use the card on restaurants? I'm new to redeem at Chase. Thanks in advance!

Bummer that the customer is responsible for the return shipping if they don't fit or something.

Pay Yourself Back categories and % vary based on the card you have. e.g. freedom flex and unlimited have 10% on wholesale clubs, departmental stores, etc., while CSR has 50% on dining, airbnb, even on the annual membership fee as of now. Go to UR page, select your card and go to Pay Yourself Back tab in the dropdown above and you should be able to see what % your card qualifies for.

In fact any gift card you buy directly from Chipotle, Dominos, Chickfila, Subway, etc. are categorized as dining, so you can double dip by using their promotions, and then redeeming 50% off through UR CSR pay yourself back. IMO best bang for buck, rather than just getting 10% off on gift cards straight via UR.
