Atgames hasn't been sued because they don't advocate or even give directions to do so on their site. Just like you can not sue dell for making a computer someone uses to torrent.

Doesn't mean the person who torrent isn't doing anything illegal.

Copyrights last 70 years and I'm sure none of the games you play are from 1950.

You're just justifying you're stealing when we both know it's wrong. You said free games so obviously you don't own them. Pretty sure Capcom didn't say you can get their games like street fighter on your machine without permission.

Again I'm here for slick deals not stolen stuff.
Sounds like you're here for a lot of self-righteous finger wagging. The rest of us really don't care.

Did you drag out your soapbox and lecture all those game manufacturers for illegally encrypting and refusing gamers the right to copy their games for legitimate backup purposes? Or do you just restrict that bloviating to Slickdeals?

Can't you just emulate old games since companies do not make them anymore and don't bother preserving them.

You can do whatever you please as many have for many decades without repercussions. Typically speaking, as long as you aren't profiting off the sales of the items they typically look the other way. If you're someone who is at risk of being raided by the FBI for something, I wouldn't want to add a bunch of easy layups for them to force you to take a pleas bargain when they find nothing but your ROM collection.

Now if you're not a degenerate then you will likely live your life in peace like 99.99% of all emulator users.

Buddy of mine was selling modded Surfboard modems that could be use to spoof your identity from your ISP and give you access to uncapped broadband speeds. He was raided by the FBI after they tricked him by selling a pirated of windows to an undercover agent for a few bucks after the agent refused to pirate it himself. In the end it was the only charge that stuck and they seized around $500k worth of property and cash for years over it.

So it's all about perspective.

Big difference between selling illegal stuff and just downloading it.

Well at this point I don't feel too bad about being off topic so I'll just say that the Atgames Pinball machine is awesome. 😀

Interesting. I love mine although I did replace the exciters. Which proves the point that "total junk" is in the eye of the beholder, no?

At this price you could take out the guts and replace them with a raspberry Pi or PC. $299 it is cheaper than most A1up's. However the iiRcade ecosystem isn't half bad. I have iiRcade, AtGames ALU, PC with MAME. The nice thing about iiRcade is it just works, and it works well. No fiddling with cores, messing with re-mapping key, testing settings, troubleshooting stutters, etc. There are aftermarket art wraps, and plenty of things to mod to make it more custom.

how good is this deal?
It's pretty good! Comes with 11 games, costs less than a Arcade1up. You can always get an art wrap to change the look, add leds to speaker cut-outs, etc.

For the price, looks like a solid system. If I didn't already have a bunch or Arcade1up cabinets and two AtGames Legends, I would probably jump on this. But to my knowledge, there's no real way to mod this, ie put more games on it. That's a dealbreaker for me, but I'm still going to let my cab-less friends know in case they want a home arcade.
At this price, you could pull out the guts and att a Pi or small PC.

I've been interested in one of these but the reviews are all over the road. Some people love them, some people hate them. Not a lot of in-between oddly enough. I might jump on the next sale, but will probably only do so if it's at Sam's or another B&M retailer that I can easily return it to.

If you get one I would immediately replace the exciters as they cause annoying vibrations. It's also really nice in that you can play pinball tables off your computer...
