Searched around but couldn't find this posted. Hat-tip to

this thread.
Not the greatest deal on this, but it's the best as far as I can tell right now.
I ordered the grinder on Dec 1 and received the gift card immediately after it was shipped, which was about two hours after ordering. Received the grinder on Dec 3.

I'm a noob to this, but it sounds like the burr upgrade should support a finer grind.
If you want to do espresso with Encore, I suggest this mod (also M3 to M2 burr but you swap for the microadjustment knob from another Baratza unit): https://www.reddit.com/r/espresso...ild_
Bottomline: if you want to do espresso, burr better be made for espresso, and it's better to have step-less / microadjustment, than stepped.
I want to order this but I just don't need that gift card... been flip flopping on it all day.
They waited a week before canceling it. I think companies do that wear you down. Sucks too, because I can miss other deals in that time. I've been tring to get this grinder for around $100 for 2 years. Keep missing deals or getting canceled.
I will probably pass this deal because 169+ 50 gift card is still 169 since I don't need to buy anything else.

Can someone tell me the espresso grinder equaivlant to this? That being best-for-the-buck. Works, reliable, and preferably replaceable parts.

Your comment helps. I think that one was on sale last year. I will wait for it to be on sale again.
Do you happen to know anything about the the Breville Smart Grinder™ Pro
https://www.breville.co
They are made for esspresso machines. I don't know if it's junk, adaquate, or good (for the price). I only ask because I might be able to get that one for $150 instead of the $200 locked price.
Breville makes good smart ovens and milk frothers (the kind that use a spinner). I'm sure they have a few other hits. They also have a lot of 'whatever' products.
Any insight on that grinder would help. People in the reviews like it, but I don't think they are coffee smart people.

The person has just been using regular dunkin donut pre-ground to date.
