Depends. Bumper plates will be more expensive. I recommend sticking to Olympic plates and bar if you do get some. Many times the best deals are local used markets (Facebook marketplace, craigslist, etc.) I got my weights a couple years ago on a sale through Dick's. Just figure out what you want, research the price history of them on Slickdeals, set deal alerts for those items on Slickdeals, and wait for a deal. That is, unless you by used local. As far as weight goes, anything under $1/lb is good.

That's the set I got for $130, but I don't think it's been close to that low for awhile. If it dips below $200, it would be a good deal.
