Seems DeWalt could benefit from working on a long warranty for their batteries. Bought one of the larger items with a 40V battery for yard work and they basically told us, even after less than 6 months, there is no warranty on the battery even when it no longer held the charge. Ended up buying a generic one and that has lasted several years.
These days, sticking mostly with Ridgid these days since their batteries are holding up and have lifetime warranty (for the most part - some, gotta read the prints). They have not disappointed so far.
