These sets are filmsy. The game part is iffy at bests. It's cute though.

Any thoughts about how collectible these Mario kits are? I have definitely outgrown Legos but love Mario something fierce! It appears that Lego makes these kits and then stops making them, so in the future Nintendo fans that might want these kits have to go to the used/scalper market? I had to buy a specific lego set for my kid that was out of print and had to pay an arm and a leg...

Yes, most (but not all) Lego sets are discontinued after 2-3 years. So if there's a particular set you really want it's generally best to jump on it. I've missed out on a couple I would have quite liked when they were suddenly discontinued.
