That's a little much for a kid riding his bike. And triple the cost.

Yes. Put the 2 on the same channel and freeze the 3rd wheel out. 😂

Reviews with any specifics are pretty terrible so I'm sure it comes down to use case.
We need something for residential neighborhood with lots of trees. Only need about 2 mile range. Anyone have experience to know if these are a good choice?

Will be handy when out camping. Is it possible to communicate with only one unit and not the other if need be?

Don't get these junk.

An unlocked Baofeng UV5-R / UV-82 or UV-5G (if you want to be super legit) will serve you well. Max range is around 3-5mi with a good antenna.

Didn't know it is for a kid 😉 but you can get UV5-R for mid to low $20s.

Having these around just in case is a great idea. Just remember to replace the batteries every couple of years,

Can anyone who has these comment on how well they work? Range, clarity, etc.?
I have zero experience with any of these.

Which model gives the longest range for forrest/open waters? I'll check on Amazon unless there's a better purchasing option. Also explain good antenna, such as the total length or the gain?

Enlighten me.

I understand locked/unlocked for cell phones, but what is it for 2way radios?

Also, what is this "if you want to be super legit" about?

Inquiring minds want to know Smilie
