If you have carpet & tile everywhere - the S9 is excellent & much better than j7.
I have both j7 & S9. My S9 runs in the bedrooms where is all carpeted & bathrooms which all tiled.
My j7 runs on my main floor where I have wooden floors & area rugs. I have some leftover scratches from the s9 on my wooden floor from prior vacuuming of the S9. They are hairline scratches which can be observed at an angle.
