Walmart has the Ozark Trail Mini Flashlight or Mini Headlamp for $1 each. Shipping is free over $35 or with Walmart+. You may also be able to order online for store pickup near you.

Both are supposedly available in 6 colors but I did not see a way to choose a color. My guess is the color is shipped out randomly or you can pick out your color at your local store if available.

The mini handheld flashlight takes 3 AAA batteries - you can see in one of the product pictures that there's a black 3xAAA battery insert for the flashlight.

Despite Walmart plus its $7 for delivery for the headlamp.
Shipping is free with Walmart+, I just ordered a couple of these flashlights. To get free delivery, your order has to be over $35 even with Walmart+. So there is a difference between delivery and shipping even though they sound like the same thing. Think along the lines of delivery of groceries from your local store vs. shipping via Fedex or UPS.

I've kept these headlamps in several bags (tackle, camping, tools, etc) for years as a backup to my good lights/headlaps, although they've updated the design. The batteries last at least a few years especially if you don't pull out the little battery tab. They are a good deal at $1, although that's been the price for them forever.

It comes with batteries. These flashlights are always a dollar as far as I'm aware. I bought a bunch to give out to Halloween trick-or-treaters.

50 lumens? That's very low, I'd pass, even for $1. Maybe for a map light or a light to be able to enter a key into a lock, but there are plenty of options for a keychain with a much smaller form factor.

I have their 400-lumen flashlight (Same brand, Ozark Trail) as my flashlight for when my power goes out or if I need to check under my car hood at night/change a tire. It also has multiple modes (low, high, strobe). I keep one in my glovebox and another in my bedroom. 400 lumens IMO is perfect; not too dim but not too bright. I recall buying it for around $10.

Ditto. Hardly ever use them since they're the dimmest flashlight/head lamp I have.

I loled at the picture of the super serious outdoorswoman loaded up with fancy gear and climbing rocks with her $1.00 20 lumen light.

cr2032 is good for situations where you want the light to sit for a long, long time without going bad though like as an emergency backup.

Good for kids since they tend to lose them often, the higher power led type used to be this price per in a pack use those often but these are pretty dim

Anyone know if these are hackable to fit a 18650 cell?

Yeah. These have always been $1. I bought a few when we had an ice storm coming this past winter just to have some around the house in case we lost power. Definitely great for the kids. I even recently used one and they were quite adequate. Yeah, they could be brighter. But it all depends on what you need it for.
