Lower single threaded (10% to 15%) performance as 5700U is based omn Zen 2 architecture and has has half the L3 cache.

I got this for my Fiancée to use in digital art programs when it was this price a month ago. It has a solid battery life, but it can get pretty hot. I think I might return it for one that had upgradeable ram, but if this fits your function it is nice.

I think you are chasing a tangent here. This has been my experience with a recently purchased 2 in 1 that uses AMD.

Apparently, some people have a workaround for this issue by updating their Intel Integrated Sensor Solutions Driver.

Again, the AMD processor reference was not the point of my initial post.

Make sure that this is Windows 10.

There is no Tablet Mode in Windows 11, which makes 2 in 1 laptops an utter mess. One critical flaw is that when you use it as a tablet, the on-screen keyboard does not automatically pop up when you enter a text box. You have to manually click on the taskbar for the onscreen keyboard and then click back to the text box to type.

Surface products have a detachable keyboard so it isn't effected by this. Microsoft is effectively hindering other 2 in 1 manufacturers by removing Tablet Mode in W11

Edit: It may be just AMD processors, I have not tested Intel ones.

Is there a performance hit using this 5700U versus a 5600U or 5800U ?

So your idea is AMD Processors may be preventing the onscreen keyboard automatically coming while you start typing. May be you should stop participating in technical discussions from now on.

I got this for $650 open box last time. Overall it is a good laptop, very fast, touch screen is very responsive.

Some negative to me are: not very bright screen, you cannot open the laptop with one hand, and battery life is about 8hrs. I'm coming from a MacBook where I'm used to 12-13 hr battery life.

I updated mine to windows 11 and have not had any problems.

Then why did you mention that? I mean it's really surprising for someone to even think that Windows 11 has implemented Tablet for AMD and Intel Processors differently. That thought should have a basis, right?

Does the on-screen keyboard automatically pop up when you highlight a text box?

Yep. No issue for me. I used tablet mode 50% of the time.

Just to let you know, I also have a HP Envy x360 13 with a Ryzen 7 4700u and that's also works perfectly fine in Tablet mode in Windows 11. You may be having a driver or Windows update issue.

I spent 2 hours with support and updated all the drivers. Might have just picked up a lemon
