I had a cheap knock-off 1:1 replica ($25) from AliExpress that I was using for a few months and then I jumped on the genuine article for $99 on BF. The real deal is far superior in quality and charging, but the knock off one helped me figure if I'd use it enough to justify the cost.

Can definitely say that the MagSafe Duo is worth it for me, I use it quite a bit and it's great for travel. It's not for everyone and I know there's a lot of people saying it's too much. But, for a specific set of people and use cases, it's the best in class.

I like it quite a bit. I would order more except I have a feeling the next one will have fast charging for AW 7 and up. It would be great if it had USB C too so I could travel with 1 less cable seeing that my iPad is USB C

i'm pretty sure the qi chargers aka non apple only do 7.5w while magsafe charges at 15w, and i'm sure the product is more well polished. i'd say its worth it if you got the bucks to spend and use it everyday

I have this. Beat every knock off that I used in the past where it would intermittently disconnect and I'd wake up with a dead phone or watch. I was using it with my iPhone XS and just upgraded to the 13. The snap in magnet is satisfying.

If not USB-C what is it then? Is the cable from this device connecting to the power charger USB-A?

Power adapter separate. That's another 20$. I think the magsafe puck is faster overall. You loose some charging speed when you use this.

This won't fast charge Series 7 regardless of the wall charger type/power.
