Thought you arcade enthusiasts might be interest in a deal on a skee ball arcade.

$349 + $49.97 shipping + tax, I landed around $420.

https://www.walmart.com/ip/MD-Spo...hbdg=L1700

I've never seen the 9 footer below $400. I pulled the trigger a few days ago. My wife always wanted one and for the price, the size, and look, seems like a good deal. I've been watching it on Amazon in the $450-$500 range for a while.

As a reference, MD Sports makes all the air hockey, foosball, skee ball, etc. for MD Sports, ESPN, Barrington, among others. Check their website. I'm pretty sure the difference between them has more to do with aesthetics and branding. The guts and build process should be the same. Replacement parts for all brands are found on MD Sports website.

I have this table, got it for it for my wife a couple years ago. It is a major PITA to assemble, and feels like it's going to fall apart, but once you get in place, it solid and a lot of fun. The deck is very low and I don't like the plastic catch/scoring bin (very loud and clunky), but it is worth it at under $400. Holding up well to lots of play.
Wow. What a price. I have this exact one. I bought it 2 years ago on a different site for 550 dollars. It gets played with every day. This is a great deal.

It took me hours to put together and it isn't engineered as well as you would think, but it does work and it is holding up even after my 3 kids chuck the balls forcefully and also my 60 pound kid has gotten on top of it a few times. Luckily he didn't jump - it would most likely break if he did. My kids, wife, and guests all love it.

Pro tip....if you get it, build it as close to the spot it will stay forever. You don't want to try moving it after putting it together and risk it breaking just by moving it. The weight of it combined with its engineered design is not made well enough to carry somewhere.

edit: oh one more thing...., inside the box where the balls enter each hole to score, the rear most inside bottom of the box has a groove. I put an extra 1x4 board on an angle there. the balls kept getting stuck there. put a board there so that the balls don't get stuck and angled it toward the ball return before you put the top of the box on. that way when a ball enters it bounces toward the return instead of getting stuck. now that I did that, I never have balls get trapped inside anymore
I need a slick deal on a bigger house with all these arcade deals lately.

thoughts on the one linked versus this one? https://www.wayfair.com/furniture/pdp/hall-of-games-roll-and-score-game-hagg1008.html

I read that MD Sports also makes Hall of Games, but it seemed like this one had better reviews on overall build. Anyone have it?

MD Sports makes Hall of Games. I seriously doubt there's any real difference between them. You'd have to find a way to fact check technical details but I'm like 99% sure they're all the same besides the laminate, painting, and branding, and some minor exteriors. You can even compare the install manuals and they're essentially the same. The review difference is similar to identical products on Amazon vs Walmart, sometimes it's 3.5 vs 4 stars or some really negative or positive most helpful reviews between them. That's my take anyway. I would definitely not pay $200+ more for this on wayfair. My 2 cents.

Did Kevin Skee and Jason Ball send a C&D letter or something?

Ok so you're not the first one to ask, either on these skee ball arcades or air hockey. So I checked the instructions for both this wayfair Hall of Games & the walmart MD Sport what I posted. The instructions are exactly the same, down to the same nuts, bolts, and screws. They're the same machine. Reviews differ either because of chance or clientelle based on what types shop wayfair vs what types shop walmart.

See above. If you need better reviews look at the wayfair one. I hate people missing out on good stuff for a good deal. If you don't want the mostly MDF arcade then you'll definitely need to throw thousands on a legit arcade. I put mine together and for sure it was a pain, but if you piece it together the right way and use the right tools it's good.

I own one of these. I bought it last year during the pandemic for the kids to go along with the Arcade1up. Here's my personal opinion of it over the last 14 months. FYI, retails price is $450+ free shipping (last year) and not $500+!
I hope this can help out a few people who are on the edge of deciding….

Pros:
- kids absolutely love it. It's about a 3/4 scale version of a full size. My wife was in love when she first saw it built too and claims it's her favorite out of all 10 arcade items.
-the look is super sleek and the appearance of high quality is definitely there.
-the audio is precise during scoring and the scoring itself is accurate to each point.
-the lane is straight as an arrow and made of mdf. Has that hardwood appearance.
-pretty dang durable. My little ones tend to run up and down the lane in it and it holds them both no problem!

Cons:
- if you expect a full size quality before you buy this, you'll be slightly disappointed.
-The backboard/hole insert is flimsy plastic and a disappointment at the price I paid ($449).
-unit comes with 4 balls… cannot find additional ones anywhere for some reason.
-the 2 plastic corner pieces arrived cracked and the company never responded for replacement. Really just a cosmetic eye sore. Walmart issued a $40 refund because of the damage.
- the volume is insanely loud and has no control. You have to use tape to damper it.
-the ball tends to get stuck 1 of every 10 throws. (Easy to get it back, but annoying).

Overall, at the $349 price range and in comparison to comparable units, I'd recommend it if you have been looking for one. With the shipping charge, I'd say wait it out because $420 overall isn't a slick deal. That's $30 less then what I paid last year. It takes up a large area so measure for it! It's the perfect edition to an Arcade1up basement and everyone that has come over was amazed that we have a skeeball in the basement. Few people figured we spent a grand in it, based on the look.

Overall, at the $349 price range and in comparison to comparable units. I recommend buying it if you have the space and loved skeeball growing up. It takes up a large area so measure for it! I have the 4in1 sports game made by this company. I assume the quality is no different. You get your money's worth of fun but don't expect it to last. I had no problem getting spare parts. But I had to add a bunch of screws to keep my table stable. If you're going to play aggressively, don't even think about it withstanding any type of roughness.

Anyways, it's fun for the kids. But definitely no resale value. I would be scared to dissemble it or transport it. Easy to chop into pieces Wink

No shipping cost on the 10' table and seems to be a better table for only $63 more...
