Nice aesthetic look, but its just plastic with usb C charging port for that price? This makes me wanna create some kind of holder for my own quest 2 though, so thumbs up for that.

It has to rechargeable batteries to put in the controllers. Nothing that a $10 battery charger, a couple batteries, and a USB cable can't do can't do other than charging the batteries without taking them out. It looks nice though, and I guess it's a little more convenient.

$70 for 2 3rd party no-name USED AA rechargeable batteries and a used plastic charging dock!? What kind of "deal" is this? You could buy 12 Eneloops and a charger and never have to charge the controllers again, along with a stand to hold the headset and controllers (that is also compatible with the battery pack), and a USB-C charger for every room in your house for this price. Even new at this price, I have no idea why someone would pay that much for a 3rd party charger and 2 no-name rechargeable AAs. Anker is fine, but it's still cheap 3rd party low-to-mid-quality stuff. They don't make rechargeable AAs, and the 'GoRun' name stamped on the side isn't a company either, so these are junk Chinese 10-cent rechargeables. Even the good reviews mention sketchy connections, cheap/short cables, overheating, a 'dumb' recharge-topoff controller that will wreck the built-in battery on your headset, etc.

. . . The Anker brand is worth over $1 billion. They have products in Brick and Mortar major retailers like Walmart, Target, Best Buy, and Costco.

What exactly is your threshold for calling something a "no-name" brand?

Anker doesn't make rechargeable batteries, so.. Whatever no-name 3rd party supplier produced these batteries? Anker makes the charger, not the batteries. These are trash (and used in this "deal", to-boot) rechargeable AAs. The GoRun name on them isn't a brand either. You seem to have misinterpreted my "no-name" label talking about the batteries as being about Anker. I even specifically said "Anker is fine" - but also if you think being carried in big-box stores is a sign of quality, especially when it comes to cheap rechargeable battery products... Hoo boy.

Im considering purchasing, and one thing I would note that is comforting to hear is that this docking station stops charging the headset once its at 100%. I just got a Quest 2 and I really want to try and preserve the battery as best as possible. With having 2 children, I know this thing will get left sitting on power cords for hours. Chalk that up with seeing a few "melting" charger port issues with the cord, I kind of want to give it a shot if only for the safe feeling of battery being retained, and fire safety issues. I know the deal is dead, I wouldn't buy used. Was just looking on here for a deal and came across the thread.
