Watch for shady dealers and add-on fees. Also, which model of SE?

Cricket is $60 x 3 months so you are looking at $180. This deal is $30 + $60 so total is $90. Not sure if there are any other fees (activation, insurance, etc) that will be added on.

I believe you need to pay $180 upfront for the 3 months service with cricket free phone deal. This is their term. Not sure if one can immediately downgrade to $30 month plan in month 1 or 2.

"*When you activate a new line on a $60/mo plan. First three months svc. charge & tax due at sale. Account will remain subscribed to $60/mo. plan for three months. Excludes AT&T ports. Usage, speed & restr's apply. Original Price $349.99. Intermittent price reductions taken. See details."

Boost used to be operated by Sprint but that ended when T-Mobile bought Sprint. Now Dish runs boost.

Unfortunately that is for new customers only. If you sign up for the $60 plan with the iPhone SE, you will be an existing customer. It would be good if you can add the $100 plan on top of the $30 phone or $90 phone + 1 month deal.

Would it be possible to sign my wife up for this iPhone SE deal, cancel the plan and then sign up with my information (using the iPhone as my BYOD) for this 1 year plan?

I don't see why not. It isn't breaking any rules and you would be the new customer. I believe it would also fulfill the unlock requirement after a year service too.

Yeah, I don't really care about unlocking as I use an NYTurbo sim card (r-sim alternative) and it's been working perfectly in my iPhone 12 Mini and the other SE I got for my company.
