Are there negatives here? I feel like I'm missing something. This feels like a great deal considering 3600 rgb goes for the same or more?

Probably the fact that it's Microcenter and these deals are in-store only. It is at least for my location, the closest store being nearly 2 hours away.

It's only about 3% faster than the 3600 at 16 CL. You are gonna run into issues trying to run your infinity fabric at 2200 mhz if going with Ryzen.

This kit is really only useful for APU builds. It will really make those iGPUs scream.

On the CPU side, really only timing matters for Ryzen.

This vs crucial ballistix 3600 rgb cl16 16-18-18-38? Building a new computer and figure if these are the same as the 3600 why not? (they end up being around the same price) Unless I'm missing some issue.

Well.. these are a way better bin of micron B die... but chances are you won't be able to run them XMP on Ryzen "5000X" or Alderlake chips in gear 1. (Buggy boards, Lower IMC limitation)

This kit does well on intel Skylake generations with nicer 6 layer boards/traces (8th-10th gen) if you have a top end IMC and or monolithic ryzen chips that have the IMC on die. (made by TSMC IE: 4700g/5700g)

If you're willing to manually set timings and or overclock ram.. this is a killer deal. If you like XMP, stick to the 3600 CL16 bin. It's less hassle for bios resets.
